The BIC is organizing 2 demos in November: Elyra 7 and Nanolive

If you are interested in the discovering and trying new microscopy techniques, you have to come to visit the BIC during the first week of November !

We will first start from November the 2nd to November the 5th with the latest system from Carl ZEISS: the Elyra7.

The Elyra7 system with Lattice-SIM technology is a super-resolution system adapted for live imaging. It combines the improvement of spatial resolution of SIM imaging to the advantages of a lattice illumination: reduced photo-toxicity and bleaching, improved volume imaging, improved speed.

If you are curious about the system you can pass by during the users demos to see the microscope working and also to have the opportunity to ask questions about the system. If you would like to do so contact Magali () so that we can organize the rotations respecting social distancing in the microscopy rooms.

We will then continue the week discovering the brand new technology of the Nanolive system, on November the 5th & 6th.

Using holography and tomographic imaging, this system allows 3D live imaging of cells with no labelling. This technique is thus particularly adapted for long live imaging of cultured cells. It has been particularly used in the study of mitochondria and cell metabolism, but is also usable in a wide range of applications like neurosciences, oncology or immunology.

The system will be presented on the 5th of November at 9h15 AM in the CGFB conference room. After that there will be different slots of tests on the system for users.

If you are interested in this demo please fill the following form so that we can handle the organization of the 2 days: https://forms.gle/xjwWQSd25yE9uGtt7

If you have any question, do not hesitate to contact Magali ().

We are looking forward to see you during these demos!
