27 May Coming soon to a facility near you: FAIR data, Open Science and OMERO
You may have recently been confronted to the terms “FAIR data” or “Open Science”. Those two principles are aiming at making data from science available from the whole community. Data should now be Findable Accessible Interoparable Reusable. A european directive has recently been transcribed in the French law enjoining all reasearch subsidised with at least 50% of public money to comply with the FAIR principle.
At the BIC, thanks to the help of France BioImaging, we are setting up the means to comply with this principle. You may soon be able to access and process your data remotly, and share whichever dataset you wish with the scientific community thanks to our newly installed instance of the OMERO image database.
