Upgrade of Tirf-PALM microscope

We are happy to announce the upgrade of our Tirf-PALM microscope to be able to perform multicolor dSTORM experiments. Furthermore, we have the chance to have now the iLas2 module (Roper) to control TIRF angle (rotating spot) and carry out FRAP experiments. Such rotating Tirf illumination will allow you to get rid of some fringes that could be seen previously. On top of this, iLas2 module allows Tirf angle to be adapted throughout the different wavelength in order to get the exact same excitation depth in multicolor imaging.

Name of the microscope is now: “Tirf-PALM-STORM“.

Come to us to discuss about dSTORM protocol (most important part of the experiment), and potentially coupling this technique with PALM on fixed cells…
