28 Sep Demonstration of a new STED objective

In September, the BIC photonic is going to test a new objective on the STED microscope. This objective is a glycerol objective specially developed for STED in live cells and in depth. It is a 93X objective with 1.3 NA. It is equipped with a motor collar to adapt the lens to any modifications of refractive index. As a reminder refractive index can be modified by temperature variation for example like in live samples, by coverslip thickness and also by penetration depth.
